Kids Cook: Strawberry Dessert Trio

This month it’s all about strawberries. The students will be making three different types of strawberry desserts. The young chefs will practice their knife skills with our child-friendly knives, making a simple strawberry sauce for the Strawberry Short Cake. They will learn how to use a mini pastry bag with the strawberries and cream dessert. Last but not least, each student will learn how to temper chocolate and make a chocolate covered strawberry.

CLASSES ARE FOR KIDS 6-12 yrs & last 30-45 minutes

Parents are welcome to observe their child during class or enjoy themselves in another

Kids Cook: Vegetarian Spring rolls

This month the kids will be making healthy spring rolls. This colorful recipe includes a variety of vegetables for kids to choose from and roll up in rice wrappers. The young chefs will learn how to use rice noodles and practice their knife skills using our child friendly knives. They will also learn how to whip up two sauces, a tasty sweet and sour sauce and peanut sauce for dipping.

Corsi di Cucina: Angel Hair with Mint, Peas, Prosciutto and Cream

This is a great spring time fresh tasting pasta dish, the mint really enhances all of the other ingredients.  One of the secrets to success of this flavorful pasta is home-made chicken stock, Chef Mike will share his favorite recipe for this.  Each student will sauté their own pasta dish, sauce and all, to enjoy after class.  Wine pairings will be provided to those who want take this dish to the next level (wine not included in cost).  Recipes for the chicken stock and pasta dish will be provided to each student.
