Kids Cook: Neapolitan Style Pizza

NEAPOLITAN STYLE PIZZA

In this class our young chefs will learn how to make Neapolitan style pizza. They will press out their own dough and learn the about authentic San Marzano tomato sauce and Via Baci’s white sauce.  They will have an opportunity to try various ingredients and then build their own pizza.  We will rush the pizzas back to our wood fired oven so the students can enjoy their creation at the end of the class.

CLASSES ARE FOR KIDS 6-12 yrs & last 30-45 minutes

Parents are welcome to observe their child during class or enjoy themselves in another

In this class, students will measure ingredients and mix their own crab cakes to their liking.  They will then sear their own cakes and enjoy with our spicy aioli.  We will discuss different types of crab as well as applications for each.  Wine pairings will be available.

MEATBALLS

In this class, we will be making Via Baci’s meat balls.  Each student will receive Via Baci’s meat ball recipe and learn the secret to why our meatballs are so tender and flavorful.  After each student mixes and cooks their meatballs we will provide the spaghetti and San Marzano sauce to enjoy the perfect homemade spaghetti and meatballs dish. Wine pairings will be suggested.

Kids Cook: Easter Egg Cake Pops

EASTER EGG CAKE POPS

With Easter right around the corner, we will be making Easter egg cake pops.  Using carrot cake and cream cheese, the students will measure ingredients and shape them on to sticks.  Then with the help of Chef Mike, they will dip the egg shaped cake pops in colored white chocolate and decorate them.  These may be the tastiest Easter eggs ever!

ASPARAGUS & QUINOA SALAD WITH POACHED EGG

In this class, students will create their own asparagus and quinoa salad, either by following Chef Mike’s recipe or modifying it to their own taste.  Then they will learn two different ways to poach an egg: using a sous vide machine and also the traditional way by simmering water and vinegar. Wine pairings will be suggested.
